Miguel Kertsman was part of a WFMT Radio special, which was broadcast shortly after Christmas 2018. He joined the prestigious list of fellow musicians, who live in Vienna, the city of music.
Miguel Kertsman’s new album “3 Concertos & Chamber Symphony No. 2” got reviewed during the broadcast of the December issue of BBC Music Magazine’s monthly podcast. In the segment “first listen” Jeremy Pound, deputy editor of the magazine, describes, how Miguel Kertsman’s album has grown on him: “It’s a fascinating disc, it’s a real melting pot of repertoire. Kertsman’s style is very, very varied. He plunges everything into his music, from jazz to world music influences. It’s sometimes atonal, but it’s never inaccessible. And this disc has grown and grown on me.”
Miguel Kertsman’s new album release was accompanied by worldwide attention. The album featuring 4 orchestral works performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Dennis Russell Davies, was released worldwide by Naxos Records in September 2018.
