The Zawinul Foundation for Achievement, a nonprofit organization founded to honor Jazz legendary musician, Joe Zawinul, hosts its annual “Z” Award Ceremony at the Porgy and Bess jazz club in Vienna on Sat May 12, 2018. Miguel will introduce the Foundation during the ceremony, and present an award to one of the young winning musicians!
Miguel Directs new Master of Arts Programs at Danube University Krems
The newly designed MA Programs in Music Management, and Music for Applied Media — whose curricula Miguel has mostly developed or re-designed, and which he runs as Academic Course Director and Faculty, are in session quite successfully with an array of talented and motivated students from various countries! We look forward to their success stories, how they will help shape the new music industry and contribute music and sound to new movies and media!
Miguel Returns to the Ars Electronica Festival!
Following a set of live game music scoring concerts in 2016 at the futuristic Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Miguel was back this past September contributing music to the first ever “Stereo Narrative” film! Kudos to Miguel’s Music for Applied Media students at Danube University for contributing outstanding sound design and additional music cues to the picture, and the film producers for their innovative movie making approach!
