Miguel has just composed a new work “Concert Overture: Horizon” for symphony orchestra. The world premiere performance will take place on January 17, at 19:30 in Vienna’s Muth Theater (home of the Vienna Boys Choir) with the Horizon Youth Orchestra conducted by Paul-Boris Kertsman
Virtuoso soloists Marina Piccinini (flute), Martin Kuuskmann (bassoon), Orsolya Korcsolan (violin), Gergely Sugar (horn and shofar), Conductor Dennis Russell Davies and the London Philharmonic Orchestra come together at Henry Wood Hall in London recording Miguel Kertsman’s “Concerto for Flute, Strings, and Percussion,” “Journey for Bassoon and Orchestra: I. Tallin, II. New York, III. Recife,” “Concerto for Violin, Horn, Shofar and Orchestra”, and “Chamber Symphony Nr. 2, New York of 50 Doors.”
The new album will be globally released in physical, digital and streaming formats in May 2018!
Miguel will soon record four of his new orchestral works with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Conductor Dennis Russell Davies featuring soloists extraordinaire, flutist Marina Picinnini, bassoonist Martin Kuuskmann, violinist Orsolya Korcsolan, hornist Gergely Sugar! Works include: “Concerto for Flute, Strings and Percussion”, “Journey for Bassoon and Orchestra”, “Concerto for Violin, Horn, Shofar and Orchestra”, plus the Vienna Symphony Orchestra commissioned “Chamber Symphony Nr. 2 “New York of 50 Doors”!
